About tessa

Tessa Asset Management was founded in 2008 by Dan Joss and Pete Flory. Between 2008 and 2019 Tessa underwrote over $16B in commercial real estate assets as part of distressed bank acquisitions. During this time, Tessa also worked on behalf of acquiring institutions to collect or restructure loans within eight large portfolios (with principal balances over $3B) under loss-sharing arrangements with the FDIC. Tessa developed an expertise in managing assets under newly formed government programs with constraints and reporting requirements. Tessa is currently making opportunistic investments in recession resistant businesses.
